Kurt Schmidt
As an experienced real estate agent with the Century 21 team, Kurt specializes in listing and selling properties on Keuka and Waneta Lakes and throughout the surrounding Finger Lakes area. His local knowledge, professional experience, and genuine connection to the community give his clients a valuable perspective when buying or selling a property.
Kurt and his wife, Brenda, are proud to call Hammondsport and Keuka Lake home. They have three children and seven wonderful grandchildren, and family remains at the heart of their lives.
A graduate of Belmont Central School, Kurt earned a degree in Industrial Technology from Alfred State College, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management. Before entering real estate, he enjoyed a successful 35-year career with Siemens Energy (Dresser-Rand), working at all three Western New York facilities in Painted Post, Wellsville, and Olean, as well as on international assignments in France, Norway, Germany, Brazil, India, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Kurt grew up on a dairy farm, where he learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and taking pride in a job well done. Those same values continue to guide him in his real estate career. Whether helping a client find the perfect lake home, sell a property, or navigate the details of a real estate transaction, Kurt is committed to providing dependable, knowledgeable, and personalized service.
When he’s not helping clients, Kurt enjoys spending time outdoors. He makes maple syrup on the family farm and enjoys fly fishing the creeks and rivers of New York and Pennsylvania. His love of the outdoors and appreciation for the Finger Lakes lifestyle are just two of the many reasons Kurt is passionate about helping others find their own place to call home in this beautiful region.
